Gaston Genovese

Thierry Genovese

The history of Dragonhorse begins in 1972. Gaston Genovese is then 39. He has been attracted by the Côte d'Azur, and after a three years military service, with one year in the Fort Carré in Antibes, he decides to settle there. Until that time, he add been employed in various companies for house construction, in Savoie, France, where he was born.  

As soon as arrived, he is hired by the company Ruviera, 2000 employees, which works from Toulon to Monaco. In 1975, he creates Sud-Peinture, associated with M. Spinelli. The two partners split one year later, and Gaston Genovese creates the company Genovese, which will employ about five employees until 1986.

Then comes his son Thierry. After having made his military service, he creates with his father the company Genovese Père et Fils, again in the building paint business. This company will employ up to 30 persons, and stopped activity in 1991 to become the société de fait Genovese Père et Fils.

In 1993, Gaston Genovese stopped his professional carrier, letting his son take the lead in  the company, with a new and competent team. The company takes the name entreprise artisanale Genovese Thierry, and operates until 2003. It works in the business of façades rework, and extends its offer to the industrial buildings.

In December 2003, Thierry Genovese creates Dragonhorse Ltd, company headquartered in the United Kingdom, with an agency in Antibes.

The know-how of DragonHorse is concentrated on :

  • work on wide areas in industrial companies
  • work during activity in presence of customers
  • very careful preparation of the background of the surfaces to process.

Façade close-up. The background preparation was especially well done, which allowed this fresco, from Wyland, a specialist of aquatic drawings, to withstand the aggressions of the years.
